Advancing Credible Mineral Opportunities and Responsible Investment in Uganda

CMG develops and prepares early-stage mineral opportunities for engagement with responsible capital, strategic operators and technical partners. We also support investors evaluating, structuring and implementing investments in other mineral projects across Uganda.

Two Ways to Engage CMG

Two Ways to Engage CMG

Explore CMG Opportunities

CMG advances selected mineral opportunities through structured screening, project preparation and responsible partnership development.

Each opportunity is presented according to its verified rights, available evidence, development stage and material risks. Opportunity-specific information is shared subject to project maturity, investor qualification and appropriate confidentiality arrangements.

Investor-Side Support for Other Projects

CMG also supports investors considering mineral opportunities that are not originated, owned or managed by CMG.

Depending on the mandate, support may include:

  • Opportunity, counterparty and documentation screening
  • In-country market and regulatory orientation
  • Technical, legal, financial and ESG due-diligence coordination
  • Independent specialist and local-partner mobilisation
  • Site-visit, stakeholder and institutional coordination
  • Project-risk, implementation and investment-readiness assessment
  • Project controls, monitoring and investor reporting

Engagement Pathways

How it works

How Investor Engagement Works

  1. Step 1: Define the mandate

Confirm whether the investor seeks a CMG opportunity, support with an independently identified project or broader Uganda minerals-sector assistance.

  2. Step 2: Preliminary alignment

Review investment criteria, project stage, available information, counterparties and the proposed scope of support.

  3. Step 3: Confirm role and independence

Clarify CMG’s relationship to the opportunity, disclose material interests and agree on any conflict-management safeguards.

  4. Step 4: Assess the opportunity

Coordinate information review, specialist inputs, stakeholder engagement and site assessment where appropriate.

  5. Step 5: Support decision and structuring

Consolidate findings, identify critical gaps and define the proposed structure, responsibilities, milestones and controls.

  6. Step 6: Support implementation

Where commissioned, provide in-country coordination, monitoring, risk management and structured reporting.

Independence and Integrity

Opportunity before transaction. Evidence before claims. Credibility before capital.
